Studio on the GO is more than a brand name. It represents a way of thinking about art. Some artists are content to hang around the house sketching from photographs. Other artists need to be out in the world, experiencing sights and sounds first hand. This artist needs to be mobile, while having at hand all of the tools necessary to make art in urban and natural environments. Our Studio on the GO products are the perfect solution for artists "on the GO."

Our parent company, Ingram Fine Arts, was founded by a working artist who is passionate both about making art and the materials used to create that art. Chris Ingram earned a B.F.A. in Studio Art, but has always felt that his best art training has come from observing and drawing the world around him. Chris's passion for creating outside of the comfort of his studio has led him to rethink the means by which he transports his materials. An exhaustive search of existing products ended with unsatisfactory results, so, rather than go back to his old backpack or tackle box, Chris decided to design his own field kit. The Studio On The Go range of products are the result of this design process.

Ingram Fine Arts is located near the Cherokee National Forest in Southeast Tennessee. When our C.E.O. is not hard at work thinking about, designing or selling Studio On The Go, he may be found spending time with his family, painting or riding his motorcycle on twisty mountain roads looking for a new place to paint.
